What Happens During LASIK Surgery?
During LASIK surgery here at our northern San Diego (Carlsbad) office, a small incision is made to create a flap in the surface of the cornea. The corneal flap is folded back to expose the internal cornea. Next, a computer-controlled excimer laser is used to reshape the stroma. Finally, the corneal flap is placed into its original position.
